Gear/Bicycle
The Lowest common denominators for skills and tools
I have always enjoyed alternative transport and living βa little differentβ. I have own bicycles, scooters, motorcycles, cars, and trucks, and have used them all as a means of daily commute. Looks like itβs time for the bike to make a big come back.
I prefer the following in a new bike if one can afford it:
- Internal gears hub, little to no servicing, does well in dirt and grime.
- Belt drive, clean, quite, very long life cycle with no servicing.
- Racks for mounting gear.
- Kick stand, or center stand.
- Wall mount to keep what is yours inside and out of the way.
- Fenders to keep you and gear clean.
- Tool kit and extra tube(s), life happens.
- Stud tires for winter, if you live in the north
