šŸ”‘ Books are amazing! A person can spend a lifetime learning and mastering a topic, and then write a book on it. You can then read this one book and gain a lifetime worth of knowledge (talk about power)! Now imagine that you could have a book written between 1450 BC and 100AD, by 40 different authors, in 3 languages. It tells you the past, present, and future; as well as explains why things are the way they are. God has put his breath in it (life). That is why the Bible is the most amazing book!

autodidact: ā€œAutoā€ means ā€œselfā€ and ā€œdidactā€ comes from the Greek word for ā€œteach,ā€ so an autodidact is a person whoā€™s self-taught.

He should have an Authorized Bible 1611, which is the word of God; Youngā€™s Concordance, which will help him find things in the Bible; Dispensational Truth by Clarence Larkin, which will lay it out where he can ā€œget itā€; and Foxā€™s Book of Martyrs, which will give him the zeal to do the work. So this is the basic outline of my personal education. Keep in mind that it is not set in stone. It also is something I made for myself, you are free to follow it you are so inclined.

Reference works that I use

From the Preface: What you have in your hands, here, is actually a Ruckman Reference Bible. It was impossible, in the time that is left before the Rapture, to print a real Ruckman Reference Bible as that Bible would have to contain more than 35,000 notesā€”nearly three times the number found in an Old Scofield Reference Bible. For this reason, we have gone through our notes and picked out the main (ā€œsalientā€) versesā€”the verses that ā€œstick outā€ (a ā€œsalientā€)ā€”and made a brief little comment about each one of them. Even then the work runs well over 350 pages, without the illustrations, sermon outlines, histories of art, music, and oriental religions, word studies, cross references and jokes (!), etc., found in my actual Bible notes. The ā€œoriginalsā€ needed three volumes (Genesisā€“2 Kings, 1 Chroniclesā€“Malachi, Matthewā€“ Revelation) to contain the material, with a blank page between every page for more than 1,200 pages.

However, here you have the ā€œkernelā€ of those notes, the absolute essential verses that a Bible student needs to know about in order to:

Retain his faith in the English text of the Authorized Version of 1611.

See how its readings often reveal information that a Greek or Hebrew scholar could not find in ANY Greek or Hebrew text.

Observe how the Scriptures themselves often interpret other Scriptures, contrary to all ā€œhistoric positionsā€ and ā€œcreedal statementsā€ found in Catechisms and ā€œConfessions.ā€

Learn how the English text of 1611 is able, by itself (without the aid of any other translation or version), to correct ALL of the errors and heresies taught by ALL professing Christians (Catholics, Presbyterians, Calvinists, Campbellites, Charismatics, Seventh-day Adventists, Moonies, British Israelites, Armstrongites, Hardshell Baptists, Pentecostals, Jehovahā€™s Witnesses, Promise Keepers, Postand Amillennialists, Hyper-Dispensationalists, Theonomists, Reconstructionists, Neo-Evangelicals, and ā€œModernists.ā€)

Continually present advanced revelations about dozens of doctrines and subjects which every great, ā€œgood, godly, recognized, qualified scholarā€ between 1800 and 1997 missed completely because he did not believe the text.

Reinforce every great, major ā€œfundamentalā€ of the Christian faith and fix Biblical doctrines with absolute truth so they cannot be altered, ignored, or done away with.
