Feet

Feet are one of “the big three”. “The big three” are the three areas that if you have issues, you are never going to be happy until resolved. Feet, butt, and teeth. So we are going to be covering them one a day to explain what I do to maintain them and avoid issues in the future.

A little background on my feet. When I was a little child, something happened to my feet. The result of the event was that the skin on the sides, of my feet have always been very thin. As a child it kind of looked like they were “dirty all the time”, but if I washed and you looked close it looked like varicose veins.

As I aged and learned more, it began to scare me a little, as the feet have the highest blood pressure, it would be easy to bleed out. So I have been taking very good care of my feet for a long time. With that said I also walk around with a piece of glass in one foot. It causes me to limp from time to time. I ware flip flops even in the house. I can’t risk any more damage.

So what do I do?

  1. Soak in a mixture of that hottest water I can stand, with Epsom salts, and borax. I used to take a bath that way once a week, but now I do not own a tub. So I use a basin for my feet. This will kill any fungal infection, soften skin, and provide magnesium, boron, and sulfur to help lower inflammation, strengthen bones, and connective tissue.

  2. Soaking will loosen dead skin making it easy to remove calluses, and excess skin around the toe nails. I take a metal nail file get under the nails. Use the 90 degree edge to scrape of extra dead skin.

  3. I trim the nails and push back the cuticle after I soak, as the are soft and easier to manage. One pair of toe nail clippers and fingernail clippers is all that is needed.

I do this once, every other week. This keeps them from having issues.

Supplements

The last thing I do is once a week I make sure I put my feet over my head for a few minutes before I go to sleep. This will drain excess fluid and help with overall circulation.

That is my routine to take care of them, so they can take care of me. Your millage my very.

ROFL! I forgot the best one!

1 Samuel Chapter 5:6

But the hand of the Lord was heavy upon them of Ashdod, and he destroyed them, and smote them with emerods, even Ashdod and the coasts thereof.

🤣 Now we know God could turn you into a pillar of salt, cast you to hell, or make you a leper. But to give a nation hemorrhoids, I lost it when I read that the first time.

Bonus

1 Samuel Chapter 6:4-5

4 Then said they, What shall be the trespass offering which we shall return to him? They answered, Five golden emerods, and five golden mice, according to the number of the lords of the Philistines: for one plague was on you all, and on your lords.

5 Wherefore ye shall make images of your emerods, and images of your mice that mar the land; and ye shall give glory unto the God of Israel: peradventure he will lighten his hand from off you, and from off your gods, and from off your land.

So to top it off he has them make gold hemorrhoids! Oh my!

I hope that these posts help encourage you to read it. Like I said at the top of the books page:

🔑 Books are amazing! A person can spend a lifetime learning and mastering a topic, and then write a book on it. You can then read this one book and gain a lifetime worth of knowledge (talk about power)! Now imagine that you could have a book written between 1450 BC and 100AD, by 40 different authors, in 3 languages. It tells you the past, present, and future; as well as explains why things are the way they are. God has put his breath in it (life). That is why the Bible is the most amazing book!

Humor in the Bible

Of all the things that caught me off guard when reading the Bible, humor and sarcasm was not on my list.

Numbers 22:

28 And the Lord opened the mouth of the ass, and she said unto Balaam, What have I done unto thee, that thou hast smitten me these three times?

29 And Balaam said unto the ass, Because thou hast mocked me: I would there were a sword in mine hand, for now would I kill thee.

30 And the ass said unto Balaam, Am not I thine ass, upon which thou hast ridden ever since I was thine unto this day? was I ever wont to do so unto thee? and he said, Nay.

31 Then the Lord opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the angel of the Lord standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and he bowed down his head, and fell flat on his face.

When I first read this I followed along and then it hit me. Balaam is talking to the ass, and it does not dawn on him. He is so involved with what is going on (who could blame him), it does not even phase him. I cracked up.

Matthew 17:

24 And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute money came to Peter, and said, Doth not your master pay tribute?

25 He saith, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers?

26 Peter saith unto him, Of strangers. Jesus saith unto him, Then are the children free.

27 Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee.

Now you tell me what would be running threw your mind if someone told you that? Now I know that this is The Lord, who told him. I read that and cracked up! Do not tell me that He does not have some humor. Jesus could have made a rock into gold and handed it to him.

As far as sarcasm is concerned read the ending of Job, when God talks out of the whirlwind.

Remember Gideon, God keeps cutting down the size of his forces, seeing who laps water like a dog.

You will find it from time to time, often it is subtle.

That book has more in it that you could imagine. Invest your time, and it will pay you back, for eternity.

A lot of people are scared

When you trust in The Lord, you loose the fear.

1 Samuel 12:24 Only fear the LORD, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you.

Job 28:28 And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the LORD, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.

Psalms 27:1 The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

Psalms 56:4 In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.

Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

I prep for my family, I have God’s words, I will be fine. The worst thing this world can do to me, is send me home. I am very homesick. I don’t fear drones, government, criminals, or the lost; I fear God.

Satin and his deluded followers, don’t fear me or my guns. They fear anyone who knows the Bible. They fear me calling out “Abba”, they know the result. Exo 8:19 Isa 40:17 Isaiah 37:36

“Bookend” your day. Start each morning reading the Bible. End each day reading it as well. He will change you, he will open your eyes to the truth. John 8:31-32 Romans 8:32 1 Corinthians 2:12

Rock bottom, hitting hard

A good mental exercise is to imagine that you just lost it all. What do you NEED to survive? Knowing the bare minimum needed and how to acquire and use them, will help you feel more secure. If perchance you find yourself in that condition, you will know what to do and why.

Now keep in mind as always your environment and your personal limitations and condition. You might REQUIRE items that I would not. Use your own judgement.

$100+ on your person, hard to get to, and or something of value. It is much easier to equip if you have a stash, or a wedding ring, or something of value to sell.

Goodwill, or the like

Back back: , bigger the better, but make sure you can blend in. Dave Canterbury’s 5 C’s:

Fork, Spoon, Pie pan: To eat with, and cook on as well. Socks: Keep a pair just for sleeping, 3 pairs are best. Underwear: 3 pair Hat: Holds heat in, and sun out of eyes. Bandana: So many uses…

Note: You want to blend in nothing flashy, no sports stuff, plain and muted colors.

Grocery store

Basics:

Supplies:

As a pepper your should have a “get home bag”, in each car/truck. A “bug out bag” at home, and an “INCH” bag, if you are capable. Each of these should be all that is required. You would have more cloths an other items. The list above is in case you are just starting out, or lost it all and have to start over.

Outerwear, type of footwear all depend on the location and environment. Some places a light jacket, other places, a poncho. Use your own judgement. Just remember, you are living outside, dress for the worse and hope for the best.

Are you an idiot?

I could count on one hand the number of people I know who have read it that I know personally. A number have claimed they have, but the average person no longer has the capacity, as far as I can tell.

So, if you went to college, trade school, read a lot of books. Put your fears down, your bias, and read it cover to cover once. Then you can reject it if you choose.

📝 Proverbs 18:13 He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him.

Now if you have the courage to do something others will warn you against. Sit down with your phone, tablet, laptop, and read (listen and follow along if you like) the Bible. You don’t have to buy one. It’s free, it will just cost you time.

Bible: Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth

You would have to be an idiot not to at least read it once.

If you take up the challenge, ask God to open His words to you. He will answer it in ways you never imagined.

If you happen to be a Catholic (or other faith), that forbids it, or pushes people not to read it, you will learn why. The most militant Christians I know are all ex-Catholics.

Cream of Tartar

Cream of tartar is is the common name for potassium hydrogen tartrate, an acid salt that has a number of uses in cooking. Now, before you get all jittery about the thought of cooking with an acid, it’s worth noting that milk, brown sugar, steak, plums, and just about every other food we eat is acidic. In fact, egg whites, baking soda, and milk are the only non-acidic (alkaline) foods we have.

Cream of tartar is obtained when tartaric acid is half neutralized with potassium hydroxide, transforming it into a salt. Grapes are the only significant natural source of tartaric acid, and cream of tartar is a obtained from sediment produced in the process of making wine. (The journal Nature reported some years ago that traces of calcium tartrate found in a pottery jar in the ruins of a village in northern Iran are evidence that wine was being made more than 7,000 years ago.)

Cream of tartar is best known in our kitchens for helping stabilize and give more volume to beaten egg whites. It is the acidic ingredient in some brands of baking powder. It is also used to produce a creamier texture in sugary desserts such as candy and frosting. It is used commercially in some soft drinks, candies, bakery products, gelatin desserts, and photography products. Cream of tartar can also be used to clean brass and copper cookware.

Methodologies

5/3 Rule

There is a lot of information to learn and it can be very overwhelming. One method to get the most return on your time is to limit the scope of what you are trying to tackle. For example, you do not need to learn all the essential oils, all the effect and protocols. Do a quick search for the top three or 5 and just learn them (and stock them).

Do this with teas, fire making skills, anything. Now if you find some topic that you a captured by, by all means do more. But by using this approach you can save money and time and still get a large benefit.

Lowest common denominator

Skills are another area that people can get overwhelmed with. When you are trying to learn as an example, carpentry. Lots to learn, cool tools, to make the job easy, etc… Focus on mastering hand tools (non-power). When you can drop a 3-penny nail, with 2-3 hits almost every time, then you are ready for the nail gun. Hand saw, chalk line, level, etc…

Equipment breaks, take power, and sometimes low-tech it the only option. Master that first.

Having cooked professionally, the same applies in kitchens, auto-mechanics, pretty much any trade.

Training

So many people waste a lot of money on college, trade schools, and on-line courses. Only to not like the field they thought they would, or that they are not personally up for it.

If you are not willing to purchase, and read three books on a topic, don’t waste you money and time on training.

Also remember hands on beats formal education any day of the week. If you want to be a master mechanic, start changing oil and tires (as a job). You want to be a chef, get a job as a dishwasher. You will be getting paid as you learn the trade.

Tools

Own the best basic tools (i.e. hand) for the job. Always own your own. Take care of them and do not loan them, they are your livelihood.

Take notes

Always take notes, it will help you remember what you are learning, and give you something to review. Keep a work journal, keep it in ink and paper. That carries legal weight.

Anything unusual going on, write it down. Tech problem, boss issues, etc… It has save me more than once.

Learn time management

Lot of different methods, try to keep it simple. The one that was taught to be was the Franklin

Developing a personal schedule to take time to read the Bible and to educate yourself and plan your day, will make you more productive and self-confident.

The Mythological “Gap Theory”

By Dr. Peter S. Ruckman:

In a recent publication called The Gap Theory, by Kent Hovind and Stephen Hawwell, we have a denial of thirty-one verses in Genesis 1 on the basis that the “Institute for Creation Research” (El Cajun, California) believes in correcting the King James Bible anywhere its “constituents” cannot understand it. In this case, Dr. Kent Hovind, who taught Stephen Lawwell how to correct the Bible “with the original Hebrew,” as all Alexandrians have done since 1800 (to the tune of 30,000 changes in the Old Testament).

The alibi for perverting the first chapter in Genesis (as the Scofield notes did in verses 6 and 16 to make them fit “modern, scientific research”) is that a “gap theory” was invented in the early 1800s to blend the belief in a 6,000-year-old earth with a 2,000,000,000 year old earth, as taught by evolutionists. The teaching, therefore, that Genesis 1:2–3 refers to a catastrophe that took place AFTER God created the original earth is said to be a “godless theory” (Kent Hovind). The denial of this Biblical truth , in the book we are examining, is something so precious that it is “dedicated to my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ for His unchanging grace and mercy,” blah, blah, blah.

Typical, pious Fundamentalism in the Laodicean apostasy. Here is what is in this pamphlet ( The Gap Theory —no date or publisher on the pamphlet).

Page 2: The writer assumes that every Christian who believes in the first chapter of Genesis, AS IT STANDS (see below), thinks that “billions of years passed between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2.”

They believe nothing of the kind. If you want the time it would be about 2,000 years, making an even 7,000 years between the first creation (2 Pet. 3) and the second creation (Rev. 21), in case Israel had accepted John as Elijah and the Rapture had taken place in Acts 7, ushering in Daniel’s Seventieth Week—which it did NOT.

You see, at the root of the denial of Genesis 1:2–3 causing a necessary “recreation” is pure ignorance of both Testaments. This is always the case in every case of scholarly, Christian scholarship that messes with the King James Bible; not one exception since 1800.

Then you are sidetracked for five pages with a “history” of the supposed invention of a “theory” (Chalmers, Hutton, Lyell, Darwin, Scofield, Larkin, Billy Graham, John Hagee, et al.) to prove that if any Christian discovers a Biblical truth that the highly educated Christian scholars have not found, it cannot be a genuine revelation; it has to be a heresy.

All Alexandrians have done this for 300 years; they continue to do so in regards to more than forty-five revelations which came from the AV Bible, AFTER 1950, that none of them were able to find in any Hebrew or Greek text since those texts were written. (See The Unknown Bible, The Mythological Septuagint, ISRAEL: A Deadly Piece of Dirt, and the Bible Believer’s Commentaries on Genesis, Exodus, Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Acts, Hebrews, The Minor Prophets, and Revelation.)

All apostate, Laodicean Nicolaitans have one desire: to drag YOU down to their level of ignorance.

Page 7: Now your time is taken up with the word “replenish” (Heb. “male”) with TWO meanings; one being “to fill AGAIN.” The apostate Fundamentalists tell you that God made an error here and should have used the Hebrew word “shana” if He had intended to “refill” instead of “fill.” Typical Bible correcting by a gnat-straining nothing, as you will see in a moment.

Page 8: “Gap theorists frequently quote Jeremiah 4:23–24 to prove their point.” Not at PBI, sonny, Not once in thirty-eight years. Anyone can see the “birds” in verse 25 and the Tribulation references (vss. 20, 26), which liken the catastrophe in Genesis 1:2 to the earth in the future.

You are to reject the King James text in 2 Peter 3 on the grounds that “there are good reasons to believe that Peter is referring to the flood of Noah” in verse 6. No text of 2 Peter 3 implies such a reference; verse 4 states the time of the flood to which Peter refers.

“And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation” (2 Pet. 3:4)

Now watch how the Lord destroys the minds of Christians like Hovind, Lawwell, and Jim Tedder as they seek to destroy both Testaments (Gen. 1 and 2 Pet. 3). They say that the phrase “willingly are ignorant of” has to refer to a flood about which everyone knew, so it had to be Noah’s flood. Then to cinch their case, they take the word “heavens” out of the context (see vss. 5, 7, 10, 13) and claim that if “the world” perished in the flood of Noah (Gen. 7:23) that fulfills the requirements of “the heavens and the earth” (2 Pet. 3:7) and “the heaven and the earth” (Gen. 1:1).

Typical Laodicean “Fundamentalist” scholarship by Biblical illiterates who mess with the AV text: absolutely typical.

To get rid of the THREE heavens and earths that are listed in 2 Peter 3, Hovind and Lawwell grab a verse out of Revelation 21 to refute them. This verse (vs. 1) was simply comparing the new heavens and new earth (AND New Jerusalem— they forgot that one! ) that had just vanished away. There was no Jerusalem, new or old, in Genesis 1:1

“The first” in Revelation 21:1 is NOT a doctrinal reference to the history of the earth since Genesis 1:1. Second Peter 3 is a history since Genesis 1:1

Now notice that. Notice it carefully. Observe the same “Scriptural ignorance” of Curtis Hutson and John R. Rice when dealing with Acts 10:43 to prove that everyone in the Old Testament under the Law got forgiveness of sins through the name of Jesus Christ; His blood atonement was preached by all of the Old Testament prophets (Acts 10:43). IT WASN’T.

They didn’t. Not one prophet in the Old Testament talked about salvation “through the name of Jesus Christ.” Not one of them. Acts 10:43 said they did, just like Revelation 21:1 said the New Heavens and New Earth came right after “the first” ones. Note another example in the “one baptism” of Ephesians 4, which would indicate no others exist. But there are seven of them; they are listed in any version of a King James Bible. The trick is to quote and use Ephesians 4:5 as a “proof text” to prove a lie. That is why Hovind and Lawwell quoted Revelation 21:1

Note! All Biblical illiterates can find “proof texts” with which to teach a lie if they lack the spiritual discernment (or the zeal) to “search the scriptures” instead of “history” (pp. 4–7) or Hebrew and Greek words (pp. 7–9). Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) in all Laodicean colleges, seminaries, and universities.

Now, Exodus 20:11 is quoted to prove that nothing existed before Genesis 1:3. No angels, no cherubim, no seraphim, etc. Unfortunately, angels were present in Genesis 1:1, before God made the earth. The apostates forgot Job 38:4, 7 (“Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding . . . When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?”) in their anxiety to make a liar out of the Holy Spirit in Genesis 1:2–3

Finally, to undermine your faith in the word of God completely, these apostates tell you that if you believe what Clarence Larkin, E. Bullinger, Cornelius Stam, C. I. Scofield, Gabelein, Frank Norris, Jack Hyles, Oliver Green, Pember, et al., believed about Genesis 1:2 you have “ denied the purpose of the cross.” That would make you a Christ-rejecting infidel. The Mythological “Gap Theory”

Note: this is the exact position of all Dry Cleaners (“Bereans”) when teaching 1 Corinthians 1. They link verse 14 with verse 17 so that if you teach that a convert of Jesus Christ should follow Him (and Paul!) in water baptism you are denying the efficacy of THE BLOOD ATONEMENT.

Typical bigoted, ignorant, Biblical illiteracy in the twentieth and twenty-first century. Absolutely uniform from all quarters.

In their deluded madness Hovind and Sawwell cry out, “If death existed prior to Adam’s sin then would it be the RESULT of sin?” (p. 17).

Simple, you silly asses (and I say that with “charity” of course! Of course!): who said anything about any man or animal dying before Genesis 3? Straw dummy. It couldn’t have been Satan, for he is alive and well before Genesis 1:2 as a cherub (Ezek. 14), and he is alive and well AFTER the mythological “gap” (Isa. 14), and he is still alive and running the world in the twenty-first century. The angels were “cast down” (2 Pet. 2), not killed, and are in a pit (Jude) of fire. Those angels were drowned in the days of Noah long AFTER Genesis 3.

What is the matter with Hovind and Sawwell? Nothing that hasn’t been a standard order of procedure for more than 300 years with EVERY Christian scholar who messed with the King James text (any edition of any revision). God messes with his mind. Now! Let me show you why we call these great, good, “godly,” scholarly men “twinkies,” “cloned robots,” “goofballs,” and “programmed jackasses.” Look at Genesis 1. This time read it and dot each verse. Have you done it? Got thirty-one dots, do you? If not, do it. You do not need a third-grade education to do it: do it.

Do you see the word “and” at the beginning of verses 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, etc. to the end of the chapter? You do not need a thirdgrade education to see it. Only a Greek or Hebrew scholar would fail to see it. So let us, for the sake of “argument,” pretend for a moment that we are highly-educated, scientific, godly Christian “researchers” bent on “enlightening” the Body of Christ and saving them from the awful heresy of “the Gap Theory.” Let us “go to the original Hebrew” and see what this word “and” should be!

Oops! It is “waw consecutive”  (“VAU” in some texts), the sixth letter of the Hebrew alphabet. It pops up thirty times in thirty-one verses, beginning with verse 2. Guess what it means!

It means “AND”! “And” is an addition. Not once in thirty verses does it refer to anything that happened in a verse BEFORE it. Every time “and” occurs in Genesis 1 it is an additional statement of something that takes place AFTER the previous verse. Not one time— not one out of thirty times —does any verse in Genesis 1 describe what took place, in time, BEFORE the “waw consecutive.” What does this mean? It means that verse 2 can no more have any reference, in time, to what took place in verse 1 than it would have a reference to John 3:16 or Romans 8:28

There has never been a gap “THEORY.” The “gap” was a Scriptural fact confirmed thirty times in the very chapter in which it appeared. Any second-grade student could see it. apostate Biblical illiterate could fail to see it. We have the “winners,” don’t we, baby?!

I hate to keep saying “note,” but if you don’t “note” it, these fake “Bible teachers” will keep right on pulling the wool over your eyes till the Rapture: and it is 80 percent cotton at that. Here, an entire chapter in the Bible has been sacrificed to prove a LIE, and any simpleton, without referring to ANY Hebrew word or ANY Greek word (LXX version), should have into such nonsense as “replenish” and “fill” in Hebrew, or “tohu” and “became,” etc., are NOT RELEVANT to any system of interpretation or exposition.

These are just typical “dodges” and “distractions” to call to your mind that the destructive critic is more highly educated than you are, so you need HIM and his opinions or “researches” to understand a verse with which no one would have any trouble if they read the chapter.

Verse 24 does not describe how God carried out verse 22. Verse 22 does not describe how God carried out verse 21. Verse 20 takes place BEFORE verse 21; verse 17 takes place BEFORE God decided to let the lights “rule” and “divide light from darkness”; in verse 15 He decided to do this before He did it in verse 16, which took place before he “set them” in verse 17. Is that clear?

God did not see the quality of His light (vs. 4) before He spoke it into existence (vs. 3). He did not speak it into existence (vs. 3) till “the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters” (vs. 2). Verse 2 is not a description of anything God did in verse 1. Verse 1 precedes verse 2. Get it? The “waw consecutive” shows the chronological order thirty times in thirty-one verses.

Hovind and Lawwell, being just as confused as Bob Jones III or Arlin Horton trying to explain Hebrews 6 (or Clarence Sexton or Lee Roberson trying to explain Heb. 3), pretended that verse 2 was telling you HOW God carried out the previous verse: not one time in thirty verses, NO.

Note (!!) that Exodus 20:11 is not a doctrinal statement on the history of creation. If it was, it would be false. There are three heavens after Genesis 1:2. Didn’t you read the New Testament (2 Cor. 12)? DO, they didn’t.

Exodus 20:11 and 31:17 is explaining WHY a Sabbath rest was given to Israel. It is not a chronological account of creation as given in Genesis 1 by the Holy Spirit via Moses. It is the present heaven and earth about which Exodus 20:11 and 31:17 are talking, exactly as Revelation mentioned the earth that was PRESENT in Revelation 20, before Revelation 20:11. Simon Peter, giving a doctrinal account of the history of the HEAVENS and earth (see 2 Pet. 3), clearly locates and describes three different combinations of “heavens and earth.” 1. The heavens and earth that WERE (vss. 5–6). 2. The heavens and earth that ARE (vs. 7). 3. The heavens and earth that “shall be” (vs. 13). The earth, in the heavens and earth “which are now” were not “standing out of the water and in the water” and it was not “overflowed with water.” It was RAINED out (Gen. 6–8). That isn’t all. The heavens and earth that “WERE” were “from the beginning of the creation.” Genesis 1:1 is the “beginning”— not the six days of creation that follow (vs. 2). The “BEGINNING.” Note: “FROM” the beginning.

Try the “King’s English” from 1611. It is vastly superior to Hebrew and Greek scholarship of any profession in 2002.

The Gap Fact

“Gap1”

This is another one of those hot topics, people don’t like Ruckman for his stand on The Gap Theory. To me, it is very logical. Attached is a 4 part PDF series about this topic. Each one is only 2 pages or so. I did not write this, but it is of worth.

I hope you find time to read them, and give it some thought. If you are a new believer, just starting you Bible journey, this will all be new to you.

Complete checklist for what to organise when a loved one dies.

(Having dealt a fair amount with this, I thought I would share. I know it is morbid, but a lot is going on, and we have a lot of sic people. Review it, and keep a copy, just in case.)

Immediate tasks.

☎️ Contact close family and friends.

Reach out to immediate family members, relatives, and close friends. This will not only inform them about the sad news but also provide an opportunity for communal support and sharing of responsibilities.Unexpected death at home.

If you are faced with a sudden death, immediately contact 000. If the death is sudden, unclear, suspicious, or if your loved one did not have a regular doctor, it is important to inform the police. In some cases, a coroner may need to intervene to perform an autopsy and determine the cause of death.

🪦 Death in a hospital or a residential care facility.

If the death happens in a hospital or care facility, the staff will help you through the process and help you understand what you need to do.

Funeral and memorial arrangements.

☎️ Contact a funeral home.

A funeral home will assist in transporting and preparing the body for burial or cremation. They will also help guide you through many of the upcoming steps. If you’re uncertain about which funeral home to contact, consider asking for recommendations from friends, religious institutions, or even a quick online search for local reviews.

🔎 Search for pre-arranged funeral plans.

Look for any official documents or written notes among your loved one’s personal possessions. It may also be helpful to consult with legal advisors information. or close relatives as they might also have

🗓️ Schedule the funeral or memorial service.

When organising a Funeral or Memorial Service, it is important to communicate with any religious or institutional groups that your loved one may have been involved with. It is also crucial to inform family, friends, and acquaintances in a timely manner so that they can pay their respects and offer support.

📝 Register the death.

It is required to register the death with the Births, Deaths, and Marriages registry of the state or territory. Although this responsibility is usually taken care of by the funeral director, you also have the option to personally handle the registration process.

🧾 Obtain a Death Certificate.

After the funeral, it is necessary to obtain a Death Certificate, which can be done with the help of the funeral home. It is recommended to get multiple copies as they will be needed for various purposes, such as closing accounts.

✒️ Prepare an obituary.

Whilst not strictly necessary, writing an obituary provides an opportunity to share a brief overview of your loved one’s life. This should include important biographical information, details about the memorial service, and instructions on where your family and friends can send their condolences or make charitable donations.

🔎 Locate important documents.

When handling the affairs of someone who has passed away, it is essential to locate several important documents that will assist in the subsequent processes.

These documents include the deceased person’s Will, which outlines their final wishes, life insurance policies to determine any benefits or payouts, the social security card for identification and benefit purposes, and birth and marriage certificates.

The deed to the burial property will be necessary for making burial arrangements, and any military discharge papers can be helpful in accessing veteran benefits or arranging a military funeral. It is also essential to gather financial documents, such as bank statements, property deeds, and other significant papers, in order to understand and settle the deceased person’s financial matters.

🧾 Secure property.

If your loved one lived alone, it is advisable to ensure the safety and security of their property to prevent unauthorised access or potential theft.

📃 Review the Will.

This legal document will identify the executor, the person responsible for overseeing the distribution of assets and settling the deceased’s affairs. If there is no Will, the state’s laws will guide the distribution of assets.Open an ‘Estate of’ account.

To handle the financial aspects of the estate, it is advisable to open a bank account specifically for the deceased’s estate. This account can be used to manage bill payments and deposit any incoming funds or benefits.

☎️ Notify financial institutions.

You will need to communicate with the relevant financial institutions. This includes contacting the banks where the deceased had accounts in order to manage and potentially close them. Pension providers should also be informed so that payouts can be halted or benefits can be transitioned appropriately.

☎️ Notify government agencies.

There are no legal rules about who must be notified when someone dies, however, it is advisable to notify certain government agencies when a loved one passes.

If your loved one was receiving any government assistance, it is important to inform the Department of Human Services by using the Advice of Death Form (SA116A).

Other tasks.

Cancel or transfer different accounts and subscriptions, such as email, social media, magazines, and memberships to clubs or organisations. It is important to notify the deceased person’s doctor about their passing and cancel any prescriptions at pharmacies. Medical equipment like oxygen tanks, wheelchairs, and hospital beds should be returned. Additionally, all insurance policies, including health, auto, home, and life insurance, should be cancelled or transferred accordingly.

Look after yourself.During the overwhelming process of organising a funeral for a loved one, it is common for personal well-being to be neglected. However, it is crucial to prioritise self-care, especially once the initial busyness of the funeral has passed and the full impact of the loss

Words

Word have meaning, often you do not understand. You say things, and do not realize that what your are doing is spell casting, cursing, and more.

Note:

When I started to read the Bible, a lot of it did not make sense. I read Dr. Gail Riplinger’s “The Dictionary Inside the King James Bible”, that helped. The thing that help the most was “Webster’s 1828 Dictionary”. It was looking up words that I began to realize that the meaning have changed.

When I was young and tossed out of school, thinking back I realized that I was never taught how to learn. No one ever showed me how to take notes, mark text, review, nor how to research.

I starting reading more and more non-fiction, and got used to looking up terms, taking real notes and developed my own system. Finding Unix and getting into it, I realized it was “all about the text”. A good paper to read on this is The Elements Of Style: UNIX As Literature.

We have to re-educate ourselves. We have little choice. Reading the Bible daily is the number one thing you can do. Get a good dictionary, a good Bible, and start reading. You will find your knowledge and spiritual insight will increase, as well as you vocabulary.

I have seen many pictures of old folks, sitting with their Bibles, and not much else to their name. They always seemed content, I understand.

Mitch - A thorough knowledge of the Bible is worth more than a college education.” -Peter S. Ruckman

(Afterthought: Turn on any contemporary music, and listen to what is being said, and the words used. This is why I listen to Bluegrass gospel, and old music.)

Bash Socket Programming

Under bash you can open a socket to pass some data through it. You don't have to use curl or lynx commands to just grab data from remote server. Bash comes with two special device files which can be used to open network sockets. From the bash man page:

   1. /dev/tcp/host/port - If host is a valid hostname or Internet address, and port is an integer port number or service name, bash attempts to open a TCP connection to the corresponding socket.
   2. /dev/udp/host/port - If host is a valid hostname or Internet address, and port is an integer port number or service name, bash attempts to open a UDP connection to the corresponding socket.

You can use this technquie to dermine if port is open or closed on local or remote server without using nmap or other port scanner:

# find out if TCP port 25 open or not
(echo >/dev/tcp/localhost/25) &>/dev/null && echo "TCP port 25 open" || echo "TCP port 25 close"

You can use bash loop and find out open ports with the snippets:

echo "Scanning TCP ports..."
for p in {1..1023}
do
  (echo >/dev/tcp/localhost/$p) >/dev/null 2>&1 && echo "$p open"
done

Vim issue with markdown

Whenever I try to paste into a large markdown file, it is painstakingly slow. Vim is having a time keeping up with syntax highlighting. I have played around with this for a good while to no avail. Yesterday, I was walking to check the mail (2 blocks away), when this popped in my head. Just make a toggle to turn it off, paste, toggle back on. It is not a fix, just a work-around.

  else
    setlocal filetype=markdown

nnoremap <leader>t :call ToggleMarkdownFT()<CR>

I added that to my .vimrc and that did the trick. Just thought I would share, in case other have this issue.

Thoughts on our current state

I do not have hope for the dollar, or the US for that matter. I think, as I have stated before, they have crossed the Rubicon. This year is the last turning point before it all goes down and they try to contain us or cull us.

They have dumbed down the populations, and poisoned them physically and spiritually.

We as the remnant, must live simple, self sufficient lives, and stay grounded in God’s words. Walk by faith, and pray without ceasing.

If you are just now waking up to what is going on, you need to move quickly. Go to the prepping page and starting reading. You do not have to spend a lot of money, but you do need to act while you can.

Keep your prepping on the “down-low”, don’t forget pets, and vitamins.

My prayer is that this site will help people come to The Lord, as well as provide them the information needed to take care of themselves. Our heads have been filled with lies our entire lives, and most people have no clue how to take care of themselves. We (I include myself), have outsourced our health, protections, food, everything. That make us dependent, and controllable.

I have had to re-educate myself, putting away the lies and focus on the Bible and the basics. Please join me, and put your trust in Jesus.

Mitch - Are you ready?

Jägermeister Bitters

(People in the US think that it is just some funky stuff to do shots with. It is suppose to be more than that. It is one of the few types of alcohol I stock. I have also made my own bitters, you can purchase supplies for it on-line: Herbs for Bitters )

Jägermeister are the most popular bitters in Germany.

It is made from 56 ingredients that include rhubarb and saffron.

It is 35% alcohol.

Some find Jägermeister Bitters the most approachable of bitters, though for others it still tastes too much like cough medicine. It is highly marketed in North America, especially towards youth. In North America, it is marketed as a shooter to be drunk chilled (just keep the bottle in the fridge), and as a mixer, particularly in a drink of ⅓ Jägermeister and ⅔ tonic water served over ice. Bars have special taps installed that chill it to 4 F (-15 C.)

Jägermeister Bitters is sold in bottle sizes of 50 ml, 100 ml, 200 ml, 375 ml, 750 ml, and 1 L.

Literature & Lore

The picture on the label of Jägermeister Bitters comes from the following story: in the 600s, a young noble man named Hubertus ( born c. 656 – 658, died c. May 30, 727 or 728) married a princess named Floribana. She died giving birth to their son (who later became a bishop.) Hubertus lost interest in court life and spent a good deal of time alone in the woods, hunting. While hunting on Good Friday morning, he saw a stage that appeared to have a cross between its antlers, and the stag told him to lead a more holy life dedicated to God or he would go to hell. This moved him to dedicate his life to God and become a monk. He was later made a Saint, and the patron saint of hunters. In French, he is known as St Hubert, and is very popular in Quebec, Canada, where he lent his name to a chicken fast-food chain.

Language Notes

“Jägermeister” means “hunting master.”

Swedish Bitters Old Manuscript

SWEDISH HERBS

Small Swedish Bitters:

This mixture is put into a wide-necked 2 liter bottle and 1.5 liter of 38% to 40% rye or fruit spirit are poured over it. The bottle is left standing in the sun or near the stove for 14 days and shaken daily. The liquid is then strained and poured into small bottles, well stoppered and stored in cool place. This way it can be kept for many years. The longer it stands, the more effective it becomes! Shake well before use! Alternatively some of the liquid can be strained into a small bottle and the rest left in the bottle until required.

* Instead of Aloe, Genetial root or Wormwood powder may be used.
** Only natural Camphor should be used.

THIS RECIPE was found among the writings of the well-known Swedish physician, rector of medicine, Dr. Samst. He died in his 104th year in a riding accident. His parents and grandparents all reached a patriarchal age. It sounds almost like a fairy story, but it is true. As a refugee from a German speaking area of Czechoslovakia, I became ill with TYPHOID FEVER in a camp in Bavaria, caused by contaminated meat and, through it, came JAUNDICE AND AN OBSTRUCTION IN THE INTESTINES. I spent more than 6 months in a hospital and when my husband got my mother, my mother-in-law, our child and myself to Austria, I was a young but sick woman. At night I was hit by terrible pain that shot through my body like a sword. In these moments I could neither sit nor stand, walk nor lie down; at the same time I VOMITED and had DIARRHEA. I was a helpless bundle of misery. These were AFTERPAINS OF THE TYPHOID fever which sometimes can go on for years, as the doctor said.

One day a woman brought me a small bottle containing a dark brown, strong smelling liquid. She had heard of my illness and wanted to help. The Swedish Bitters had relieved her of a serious complaint. Accompanying the small bottle, she gave me, was a transcript of an “OLD MANUSCRIPT” in which was explained, in 46 points, how these drops heal every illness. The recipe came from the writings of a wellknown Swedish physician. As I stated, all members of his family had reached an unusual old age. These drops, according to the 43 heal “plague boils and swellings, even if already in the throat”. I put the bottle in the medicine chest. I just did not believe that these modest drops could give me back my health; since the doctor could not even help me. Soon I changed my mind. As I sat in front of a large basket of over ripe pears, which needed to be used up straight away, I had another attack. As I had been told that these Swedish drops could be used extremely as well, I did not hesitate for long and applied them as a compress on the abdomen, put a small plastic bag over the compress and then my girdle and continued my work. A wonderful feeling spread through my body and, suddenly, it felt as if with one movement of the hand, everything morbid in my body was pulled out. I assure you that with this single compress, which I had on the whole day, all of the preceding months disappeared, never to return.

“OLD MANUSCRIPT” (Transcript of the Swedish Bitters’ curative power)

Body, Soul, and Spirit

The Bible is the final authority in all matters of faith and practice.

The Bible is the only accurate textbook on science in existence. There are textbooks that deal with certain attributes about physical science, that is not what we are after.

1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.

The Bible says that man is made in the image of God (Gen. 1:27). God made him out of “the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul” (Gen. 2:7). God has a body, Jesus Christ. God has a soul, God the Father. God has a spirit, the Holy Spirit. He is tripartite nature.

So like so many things that God has made, we are of three parts. For example look at the following:

OBJECT FATHER SON HOLY SPIRIT
Man Soul Body Spirit
Family Man Woman Child
Problems Mental Emotional Physical
Time Past Present Future
Space Height Width Depth
Matter Solid Liquid Gas
Kingdoms Animal Vegetable Mineral

The Bible says that man was made in the image of God (Gen. 1:27)

Man is the image of God. He has a tripartite nature.

Did you know part of the Bible is missing? You have the Old Testament, and a New Testament, so what is missing? Jesus Christ is the Word of God.

Body

Jesus is the body of God.

Spirit

John 3:8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

The spirit is like wind. Look at the Greek word pneuma. What is pneumonia? It is trouble with your air. A pneumatic drill is a drill driven by compressed air.

1 Corinthians 2:11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

Everyone has the same spirit, the spirit of man. Every animal has the same spirit, the spirit of a beast.

Ecclesiastes 3:21 Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?

So we have four type of spirits:

  1. Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit
  2. Spirit of the devil, the unclean spirit
  3. Spirit of man, the human spirit (which is dead, because of Adam)
  4. Spirit of the animal, the spirit of beast

John 3:5-7 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

Ephesians 2:1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;

An unsaved man has a live soul, but a dead spirit. When you are born again you get a new spirit, the Spirit of God. Do you know what Christ said? He said to “let the dead bury their dead” (Luke 9:60).

Soul

In the Bible, the soul has a bodily shape.

Luke 16:23-24 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

Chain Reference

A “Chain reference” reference is a system of indexing verses in your Bible by topic, in the margin.

It is useful talking to others on the related subject. One verse points to the next. You pick a blank note page (if you have one), or write a listing of them on a peace of paper. Below are some sample topics.

  1. Write the topic in the Index (say Education)
  2. Next to it you write the first verse number.
  3. Navigate to that verse and write the number of the next one next to it.
  4. Continue until the end of topic.

Sample topics

Education (formal)

ROM1.22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

1 Cor 1:20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

1 Corinthians 1:21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

1 Corinthians 1:27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

1 Corinthians 3:19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.

2 Cor 11:6 But though I be rude in speech, yet not in knowledge; but we have been throughly made manifest among you in all things.

Flat Earth

Joshua 10:13 And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.

1 Chronicles 16:30 Fear before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved.

Psalms 93:1 The LORD reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved.

Isaiah 38:8 Behold, I will bring again the shadow of the degrees, which is gone down in the sun dial of Ahaz, ten degrees backward. So the sun returned ten degrees, by which degrees it was gone down.

Isa 40:22 “It is he who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers; who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them like a tent to dwell in”

Note If the shape of the earth was intended to be conveyed as a “ball” then the Hebrew word “dure” would have been the word used as found in Isaiah 22:18, “He will surely violently turn and toss thee like a BALL into a large country: there shalt thou die, and there the chariots of thy glory shall be the shame of thy lord’s house.” It wasn’t used there. What we were given instead was the Hebrew word “khoog.”

Mat 4:8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;

Godhead

John 8:19 Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also.

John 8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

Acts 20:28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

1 Timothy 1:17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Pretrib

1 Corinthians 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Health, my take

It seems to me after reading and trying to find solutions to many health issues that the following truths have been observed:

  1. God mad us from dirt, and so minerals are VERY important.
  2. Water is the very important as we are mostly water and we need it to survive.
  3. Vitamin C is very important as, we do not have the ability to make it, as do the other animals.
  4. Fats are the main source of calories and are required for health.
  5. Fresh air, sunlight, and walking barefoot is what God meant for us.
  6. “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure”.

It also seems to me that we are under attack from many sources:

  1. The food that we eat is laced with un-natural chemicals.

  2. All of the grains and a lot of the food has been genetically modified (adulterated).

  3. The medical industry is not trying to heal people, but kill them at a profit. Using the following:

    • Poisons aka pharmaceuticals
    • Radiation
    • Mutilation
  4. The education system (more like indoctrination), is dumbing people down so that they can not see this or think for themselves.

  5. Chemical companies selling product for cleaning, disinfecting, cosmetics, etc…

  6. Government (FDA, EPA, CDC, etc..) acting to protect the corporations from the people instead of the reverse.

The solutions to all of this is not expensive, but you must take maters into your own hands. You have to study and learn how to cook from scratch and use God’s medicine to heal. Be very wary of people trying to sale you products for health and healing, good health should not be expensive if done right. The more you know, the better off you will be.

RDA (recommended daily allowance) should be defined as Really Dumb Advice, for that is what it is. The methodology for setting RDA, is the level at witch a condition stops, not the optimum healthy level. This started with iodine. The level set was that which stopped Goiter from occurring. Using this logic, one could stop from starving to death with bread and water, however that would not be an optimal diet!

Water - Next to clean air, this is very critical for good health; which makes you wonder why they poison it with chlorine and fluoride. Both are toxic to the human body, and destroy iodine as well; creating a double punch to the system.

All water consumed should be filtered! The filter(s) should remove down to 1 micron and be proven to remove arsenic, lead, fluoride, and chlorine. I use and trust Berkey brand filters, they are a gravity fed system. They are cost affective and have excellent lab tested results.

Format - Or chemical composition of nutrients is very critical. People in marketing, will try to tell you that ‘whole food’ sources are best, or some other gimmick to get you to purchase their products. What is truly important is the type. Your body can not process all forms of a nutrient, some are toxic, even to the point of being flat out deadly.

Source - When purchasing supplements, don’t by them from the drug store or from the same companies that make drugs. They are rarely the correct format or dosage, this will keep you from getting better, so you then have to take their drugs. They make money off you twice.

Note: * denotes any nutrient most people are very deficient in.

Minerals - Many are needed, more then I am listing, but this is a list of the most critical and needed based on what I have found.

Vitamins - Oil based ones are the ones that most folks are lacking

Just my take on things related to health.

Scripture

Sinner:
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Hell: Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Jesus is God, Died, Resurrection; to save you from your sin
Romans 5:8-9 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

Works cannot save (give examples)
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Repentance (change of heart = sorry that you don’t want to sin)
2 Corinthians 7:10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

Confess to God
Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

What to Pray
Dear God, I am a sinner and need forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ shed His precious blood and died for my sin. I am willing to turn from sin. I now invite Christ to come into my heart as my personal Saviour.

Today is shopping day

This most likely does not mean much to most, just another choir. I live 1 1/2 hours away from Fargo, the closest city. My little town has very little, by way of supplies, and the prices are pretty high.

So the wife unit and I make our way every two weeks, to stock up. It is the only time we eat out. Mostly it is something we eat in the car, except for today. Today we are going to celebrate my wife’s birthday, so it will be Sushi.

1.5 hours to get to Fargo, 1.5 to get back. 3 hours in drive time plus shopping (one to three stops). That’s a full day. This is why online ordering for folks like us, is almost a given. That includes ebooks, no book stores in any small town in ND. Lot’s of bars, banks, and farm supplies. (You can by 1 million dollar tractor in my town, but not a book.)

I like being remote. If things get crazy, it will be a while before it gets here. It’s a very peaceful life. Almost time for me to go sit on my porch, and have a pipe with my dog. When I grab a pipe, she walks to the door. (We know each other’s ways, an old man and his dog.)

The state of computing

If you have been following the Open Source movement and the politics, that have taken over; you should be aware that this will effect everyone. With that being said, I intend to drop Linux Mint as my distro of choice.

I am looking for the following features:

Once I pick one I will test it on my desktop. Once I am happy with it, I will do the server.

Stay tuned.

The things we own

The computer I am writing this on once belongs to my lovely sister. She went home 1st, leaving everything she had. She took her memories, and what knowledge she had of the words of God. She left family, friends and acquaintances.

So getting back to the computer. My other lovely sister ended up with it. Long story short; now I have it and use it as my main computer, to maintain this site, and do my research.

I am 62 and I look back at all of the things that I have owned and just about all of them are gone. I have had, cars, motorcycles, boats, houses, etc… As a man of God, I can honestly say they mean nothing. Even the house I live in now. The only possessions out of the Bible itself, that I pay any attention at all is my kit. (Supplies are another matter)

(Kit is what everyone (in my opinion) should own. It is your Every Day Carry, Go bag, get home bag, and Inch bag or camping gear. This is the only possessions that are NEEDED for survival.)

As a believer we are told that The Lord will supply are needs. We put our trust in Him, and the Bible. We are to live a simple life, with Him being the center. If God’s plans were to have me spend a million dollars on someone/something, I would trust he would provide it. God will provide you what “is needed” (note not wanted).

(Please keep in mind that I understand, you profession/skills may require you own $$$ equipment, tools, etc… IE. As a mechanic you would have a lot of money in tools. But why do you need the fancy house, car, clothes, etc…)

The times we are living in are scary (if you are not saved), but it not the things of this life that will help you, it is faith in The Lord. You life is but a vapor, it does not consists of what you own, and if it does your are not saved, nor are you happy for any length of time.

So perhaps the reason why The Lord had my sister acquire this system, was because of my future needs. One will never know in this life, but I will know (one day, one happy in glorious day!). Matthew 6:34 Luke 12:15 Romans 12:16 2 Corinthians 4:18

ALKALIZING

WITH SODIUM BICARBONATE AND POTASSIUM CITRATE

by Walter Last

I came across this in my notes and reread it, it’s worth reading and sharing. -Mitch

Our metabolism works best when the lymph fluid is slightly acid while the blood is always slightly alkaline. If the diet is deficient in minerals or the cellular energy production is inefficient, and produces much lactic acid instead of oxidizing nutrients to carbon dioxide and water, then the body gradually becomes too acid. This leads to loss of minerals and inflammations with pain and oversensitivity. Chronic inflammations cause most of the discomfort and health deterioration associated with chronic diseases. The most common conditions associated with inflammations are infections and Candida problems, autoimmune diseases, including arthritis, and cancer.

To reduce and eventually stop destructive inflammations the body needs to be alkalized. This is best done with mineral-rich vegetables, especially green leaf-vegetables and green protein powders such as spirulina, chlorella, and wheat grass or barley grass powder. However, until the inflammation is under control it is often helpful or necessary to use in addition alkalizing remedies such as sodium bicarbonate and potassium citrate. Both are ‘natural’ as the body produces large amounts of sodium bicarbonate to neutralize the stomach acid when it enters the intestines, and potassium citrate is the strongest alkalizing agent in citrus fruit.

When you dissolve sodium bicarbonate in water it is more alkaline than potassium citrate but inside the body potassium citrate becomes a stronger alkalizer. Another difference is that sodium bicarbonate should not be taken with meals as it then reduces our stomach acid which is needed for digestion, but potassium citrate can be mixed with meals.

All this seems to show that potassium citrate is a better choice for alkalizing than sodium bicarbonate but which one is preferable really depends on some additional factors.

The following conditions favour the use of potassium citrate:

  1. A high sodium and low potassium intake as in a conventional Western diet
  2. Raised and especially high blood pressure
  3. Kidney problems or water retention/edema.

Sodium bicarbonate, on the other hand, is called for

  1. With low blood pressure
  2. With a diet high in fruits and vegetables and low in salted foods.

Those who do not fit into one of these categories may take both alkalizers. Commonly a ratio of 2 parts of sodium bicarbonate to 1 part of potassium citrate is being used, but also 1 : 1 or an excess of potassium is alright. These may be mixed and taken together in the same drink, or they may be taken separately during the day. If you take more than 1 teaspoonful then space them out during the day.

How much and for how long?

Sodium is the most abundant mineral in the blood and lymph fluid while potassium is highest inside cells. Therefore a sudden high intake of potassium can cause an imbalance in the blood, and higher amounts need to be distributed over several meals. A diet high in fruit and vegetables may provide 5 g of potassium daily while a normal ‘good’ diet supplies about 3 g. A level teaspoon of about 5 g of potassium citrate contains about 1 g of potassium. This amount 3 times a day with drinks or mixed with meals is about the upper recommended daily intake.

If there are no contraindications for sodium intake, then sodium bicarbonate in higher amounts is somewhat less critical. The best way to take it is with a drink some time (e.g. half an hour) before meals or, generally easier to ‘stomach’, 2-3 hours after meals. Another recommended way is to dissolve a teaspoon of bicarbonate in a large glass of water, stir in a teaspoon of psyllium hulls and drink immediately, best soon after rising. In all you may use up to 3 rounded teaspoons of bicarbonate spaced out over the day.

There are two ways of estimating how much to take and for how long. The simpler way is just to go by the amount of pain and other discomfort caused by an inflammation. The more inflammation and pain, the more alkalizer you may take. When problems subside then you reduce the amount of alkalizers, and eventually the minerals in a good diet may be sufficient to keep you well.

The other possibility and the better option is from time to time to measure the pH or acid-alkaline balance of your saliva or urine. The saliva is a better indicator of the condition of the lymph fluid but urine is easier to test. Take so much alkalizer that your urine during the day is mostly above pH 7 or slightly alkaline (pH 7 is neutral). To check your urine you may buy pH papers with a range from about 4 or 5 to 8 or 9 (see the Internet for suppliers).

Alternatively you may use turmeric (or even curry powder) dissolved in water or better methanol. Turmeric changes colour at pH 6.8. Above this it is red and below 6.8 it is yellow. Therefore when the urine sample turns red you can assume that it is neutral or alkaline. Dissolve a teaspoonful of turmeric in half a litre of methylated spirits (methanol), shake and allow to settle, producing a yellow solution.

To make a test pour some of the yellow solution into a test tube or small drinking glass. Add a few drops of urine or saliva. If it turns ruby red, then what was added had a pH greater than 6.8 (neutral or alkaline). If it stays yellow, then the pH is less than 6.8 (acid). For making an extract of red cabbage with a very wide pH indicator range see the Acid - Alkaline Balance http://www.health-science-spirit.com/calcium.html.

If the overacidity was caused by an unbalanced food intake with too much acid-forming foods and not enough alkalizing foods, then the urine may respond within days to alkalizing remedies and foods. Acid-forming foods are generally high in phosphorus, such as meat, fish and eggs. Also sugar and refined cereals low in minerals increase acidity. However, if the overacidity is caused by damage to the oxidizing component of the cellular energy production then the overproduction of lactic acid may continue for a long time until health is sufficiently improved, for instance when a systemic Candida infection has been removed.

Another common cause of overacidity are allergies, especially food allergies. If you avoid an allergenic food for several days the urine may become more alkaline but if you then re-introduce the food, urine and saliva become again more acid within hours. You can make a urine test about two and a half hours after eating the food. To reduce or stop an allergic reaction take in a drink a rounded teaspoon of 2 parts of sodium bicarbonate and 1 part of potassium citrate. If necessary repeat this dose an hour later.

However, in the long term there is a price to pay for trying to make your lymph fluid alkaline: the body may gradually start forming calcium deposits. That is good for teeth, bones and joints, but you do not want other tissue to calcify as this will cause stiffness and speed up aging. This is what commonly happens with chronic inflammations anyway - over the years they cause calcium to accumulate in the inflamed areas, and this reduces inflammation and increases stiffness.

Therefore, when chronic inflammation and its related disease processes are no longer a problem but stiffness increases instead, then it is best to lower the pH of urine and saliva to a slightly acid pH level of about 6.4 to 6.8 or to when turmeric just turns from red to yellow.

Summary for taking Alkalizers

The following recommendations are the maximum amounts. Start with a lower dose and increase gradually up to 3 teaspoons daily. It is important to check your pH and adjust the intake of alkalizers as your pH moves into the required range.

How to use Potassium citrate: Take up to 1 level teaspoon 3 x a day directly mixed with meals, or with some diluted vegetable or fruit juice, or stir into a green drink (a mix of spirulina, wheat or barley grass, and chlorella is great).

How to use Sodium bicarbonate: Take at least ½ hour before a meal or 2 to 3 hours after a meal, up to 1 rounded teaspoon 3 times daily. You may also add 1 teaspoon each of sodium bicarbonate and psyllium hulls to a large glass of water, stir and drink immediately, best soon after rising.

Directions for combining Potassium citrate and Sodium bicarbonate: You may use both at a ratio of 2 parts of sodium bicarbonate to 1 part of potassium citrate, or alternatively you may also mix equal parts or use more potassium. These may be taken together in the same drink such as diluted juice or a green drink; take at least ½ hour before or 2 to 3 hours after a meal. If using them separately you may take 1 teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate each early in the morning and late in the afternoon, and a teaspoon of potassium at midday; you may also use any other sequence.

When to test your pH: To beat inflammation initially test several times a day without much attention to mealtimes and, except for morning urine, it should be above pH 7. For those who want to reduce stiffness, 6.0 to 6.5 in the morning is OK but then throughout the day it should be between 6.5 and 7.0. After initially testing more frequently it is OK later to test only occasionally, perhaps once or twice a week, best 3 hours after a meal or snack at the same time of the day.* *

Came across some interesting Ruckman quotes

“America has a choice …it’s back to the BIBLE or back to the JUNGLE. You white sons of Japheth were a bunch of pagan mongrels before a Jewish Messiah gave you real civilization. Reject him and you will start sacrificing your firstborn sons again, covered in tattoos, feces, and drunk as a skunk! SAVAGES” -Dr. Ruckman

“Some men, in twenty years, cover the ground that it takes other men fifty and sixty years to cover.” — Peter S. Ruckman

“This is the same trouble in marriages. The hardest thing you have to do, as a man, is to keep that strange fascination and infatuation for your wife that you had for her in the days when you began your engagement. And the hardest thing a woman ever has to do is to keep the admiration and respect she had for her husband before he said “I do.” 2:5.” — Peter S. Ruckman

“One day I said, “Paul, what is the greatest truth you ever learned in your years as a pool shark, ‘pitch man,’ and stick man on the midways?” He grinned and said, “Ruckman, I learned that you can’t CON an honest man.” — Peter S. Ruckman

International Sunday School Lessons

One of the many resources I appreciate is International Sunday School Lessons

You can purchase them in as yearly copulations 1978 and on. I do not have them all, but I have several. I like the format, each contain many topics and are good for listening for about 1/2 hour.

Like his videos, the audio quality is not always the best, but usable. You will learn a lot from them.

Related:

Ruckman/Theologic Seminary Of The Air is another good resource, but it is more structured. If all you had was the Bible and this, you could get the best education, for life.

Also, I once again stress that you should read your Bible with audio. It will help you retain it, and get the words correctly sounded out. John 15:7 Luke 21:33 Proverbs 7:1

Borax Cures and Restoration of the Body

or The Borax Conspiracy

“You may not be able to imagine that borax, this humble insecticide and laundry detergent, has the potential of single handedly bringing down our entire economic system. But you do not need to worry, the danger has been recognised and the necessary steps are already being taken to defuse the situation. I will start with the basics and you will understand what I mean as the story unfolds.”

If you have not read it, you should. It will give you some insight as to how the system works.

Boron (borax is just a natural form of it), is a major health booster. It helps with hormones, bones, joints, and much more. It speeds healing and fights infections.

I personally take 30mg a day (10mg 3x a day), and have no arthritis, no muscle loss, and I don’t get sick. At 62, not to bad. Boron has a lot to do with it. (also Diatomaceous Earth

Fiction is another word for lies

One of the most life changing things that has happened to me was walking away from all the lies. I do not mean the ones you are indoctrinated with, but the means by which it is done. You are taught them in school, they fill your entertainment, they are the foundation for most peoples lives.

“Fiction”, “Model’s”, most science, all politics, it’s all just lies. The music that most people listen to, is designed with a purpose. You have people (perhaps), singing about “living the simple life”, when they don’t. Actors are professional liars, it is what they do. All higher education, politicians, etc, you name it.

Who is the father of lies? Satan. He is on a leash (read Job), all his followers are in rebellion. They lie to themselves and others as well.

When you receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you receive the Holy Spirit. He it is that leads you to all truth. You also have (one would hope), an AV Bible. This gives you a foundation of truth. If it goes against The Book, toss it! Over time you find (at least I did), that you can not stand all the lies. You stop watching movies, reading fiction, etc…

Stay in the Bible, keep in prayer, and the truth will set you free…

This is not my home

“This world is not my home; I’m just passing through,  My treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue.  The angels beckon me from heaven’s open door,  And I can’t be at home in this mess anymore.”

The more you get into the words of God, and spend time with Him, the less you will feel attached to this world. It will over time repulse you. It is odd that so many fear death, once you are born again, you long for it. Although, like Paul, I am torn; as I am also needed here for those around me.

I just get homesick more, as I get closer to going home. 2 Corinthians 5:8

Bio: Paul of Tarsus

Meaning of name: to restrain Lived: (born between) A.D. 0 and A.D. 5. to sometime after A.D. 67 Works: Romans, 1 and 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 and 2 Thessalonians, 1 and 2 Timothy, Titus, Philemon, and probably Hebrews.

Background

“The Apostle of the Gentiles, whose original name was Saul. He was of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of the Hebrews (Ph. 3:5), born in Tarsus (Ac. 9:11; 22:3), the chief city of Cilicia, in Asia Minor. He was brought up a Pharisee, and educated at Jerusalem, at the feet of Gamaliel (Ac. 22:3), a celebrated Rabbi. He was acquainted with several of the ancient Greek poets, whom he occasionally quotes (Ac. 17:28; Tit. 1:12). Like all Jews, he was brought up to a trade, which, in his case, was that of a tent maker (Ac. 18:1-3). His residence at Jerusalem augmented his natural regard for Judaism, and led him, while yet a young man, to bear his testimony against Christianity, by consenting to the martyrdom of Stephen and by watching over the clothes of those who stoned him (Ac. 7:58).

“Soon the great landmarks of his life began to appear. Foremost of all was his conversion, A.D. 38, which became the main root of his after life (Ac. 9). Then his evangelistic labours at Antioch, A.D. 42 (Ac. 11:22-30); his missionary journey in the eastern part of Asia Minor, in which he first assumed the character of an apostle to the Gentiles (Ac. 13-14); his visit to Jerusalem, A.D. 50, to settle the question of the relation of the Gentiles to the law of Moses (Ac. 15); his second missionary journey when he introduced the gospel into Europe, with his visit to Philippi, Athens, and Corinth (Ac. 15:39-18:22). Then comes his third great missionary journey which was chiefly marked by a long stay at Ephesus, and interesting in connection with the writing of his four leading Epistles (Ac. 19-20). Then followed his visit to Jerusalem, A.D. 58, and his apprehension there, with his long confinement at Caesarea, and his eventual imprisonment at Rome, A.D. 61, whence he wrote most of his other epistles (Ac. 21-28). Of his later history we know nothing.

“As to his temperament and character, Paul is himself the best painter. His humility induced him to abandon the grand title of ‘Saul,’ and assume the humble one of ‘Paul,’ i.e., the ‘little one,’ appropriate, perhaps, from his bodily size, but adopted, no doubt, from that humility which makes him count himself to be ‘less than the least of all saints, and not worthy to be called an apostle.’ His speeches and epistles convey to us the truest impression of him. In these we perceive the warmth and ardor of his nature, his affectionate disposition, the tenderness of his sense of honor, the courtesy and personal dignity of his bearing, and his perfect frankness. We see also the rare combination of subtlety, tenacity, and versatility existing in his intellect, with a practical wisdom generally associated with a cooler temperament than his, and a forbearance and tolerance seldom united with such impetuous convictions as he entertained” (Young). (Acts 7:58; 9:1-31; 11:22-30; 13:1-28:31; Ro. 1:1; 1 Co. 1:1; 16:21; 2 Co. 1:1; 10:1; Ga. 1:1; 5:2; Ep. 1:1; 3:1; Ph. 1:1; Col. 1:1, 23; 4:18; 1 Th. 1:1; 2:18: 2 Th. 1:1; 3:17; 1 Ti. 1:1; 2 Ti. 1:1 Tit. 1:1; Phile. 1:1,9,19; 1 Pe. 3:15).

.conkyrc, (will it ever end…)

Output:

pocket [457G / 138G] 69% █████████████░░░░░░░

When added to the .conkyrc I pass and option of ‘-’ and it will not display ‘/’. Looks good, works well.

When is it obsolete?

We are such a consumer based society that, we always look for new features, better this, better that.

“An item is only obsolete when it no longer performs the function for which it is indented.”

I have worked with computers for decades, and most would be surprised that I never purchase new tech. I get them used, or purchase them when the mainstream has moved on. I am not a gamer, I see the computer as a tool, one that I use to educate myself, and to stay informed. It is also now my hobby.

I run this site on an old laptop. With Linux and XFCE for a desktop, it does not take much for overhead. If I compile a large c++ package, it might choke for a bit, but it does it.

I do not begrudge someone if they want the newest tool to make life easy. What I see is people who are always chasing the next thing. 1 Timothy 6:6-8

We as Christians should live simple, self-reliant, lives. We take our knowledge of the Bible and out memories with us, nothing else. We need to stay focused on The Lord, in prayer, reading His words, and helping others.

💡 Tip:

Take a note pad and write a list of everything that you need to survive if you lost it all. EDC (every day carry), go bag, cloths, toiletries, etc… Now put them in order, make sure you can grab them in less then 3 minutes and go if need be.

(This exercise will help make you think about what you own and what is important. I review it all once a year. After that I don’t worry about stuff so much.)

Conky removable drive mount displays

I have been trying to come up with a solution for this of and on for a long time. Never happy wit the results. Well, this morning it hit me:

${color yellow}${execi 30 lsblk -rno NAME,MOUNTPOINT,FSUSED,FSSIZE |grep -v 'sda'| awk '$2 != "" && $1 !~ /^(sd[a-z]|nvme|mmcblk0)$/'|cut -d' ' -f2-}

That one line added did the trick. Every 30 seconds it check and displays just the removable mount.

More of my system tweaks can be found here: Config files

Tobacco “Pipe smoking is properly an intellectual exercise”

I added a collection of books on tobacco, most are pretty old. You can find them here. Also, do not forget about Remedies/Tobacco

I have used tobacco all of my life in one form or another. Like most I started young and dumb on cigarettes. Later in life as I questioned more, I decided to read up on tobacco, as it was a big part of my life. Well, like always, I came to different conclusions than I was told.

Like everything that is good in this realm, they have adulterated it (just like iodine, and hydrogen peroxide). They demonize nicotine, and the masses believe it; not knowing that all nightshade plants contain it.

Now that I am retired, I spend a little time each day with a pipe in hand, sitting in the sun, in meditation.

“A pipe is the foundation of contemplation, the source of pleasure, the companion of the wise, and the man who smokes thinks like a philosopher and acts like a Samaritan.” Edward George Bulwer-Lytton

How the table of contents is generated

Looking for a simple solution, I came across vim-markdown-toc. I just move to the location I want it, and run:

:GenTocGFM

After that, it auto updates it when the file is saved. You can just ignore it. That is as simple as it gets!
